Penza, 20 January 2014. PenzaNews. Valery Savin, who served as deputy chairman of the regional government, was appointed vice governor of the Penza region.

According to the head of the governor’s staff department and the government of the Penza region Viktor Rubtsov, the corresponding order was signed by the head of the region Vasily Bochkarev.

Valery Savin was born November 7, 1963 in Penza.

In 1985 he graduated from Penza Polytechnic Institute, in 1996 — Volga Academy of Public Administration.

From 1985 to 1993 he worked at the Penza Polytechnic Institute as an engineer, senior lecturer, was a graduate student.

Since December 1993, he worked in the administration of Penza. He was the chief of department of public relations, and then headed the department for work with the administrative authorities, public organizations and youth.

From August 1998 to August 2005 — the deputy head of administration of Penza.

From August 2005 to October 2007 — the head of the department for support of the governor of the Penza region.
After that he worked as the first deputy head of administration in Pervomaysky district of Penza, and later — the head of the district.

From February to September 2008 — the head of Leninsky district of Penza.

From September 2008 — the deputy chairman of the regional government – head of relations with local authorities.
In May 2013 he was appointed acting vice governor of the Penza region, when the position was left by Vyacheslav Satin, but later again became the deputy chairman.

Valery Savin has been in charge of recent domestic policy, cooperation with law enforcement agencies, local authorities and media in the rank of deputy prime minister.
