Penza, 16 May 2014. PenzaNews. The vice governor of the Penza region Valery Savin vacated the position due to the move to Nizhny Novgorod. This was announced by the head of the governor’s staff department and the government of the Penza region Viktor Rubtsov on Friday, May 16.

He clarified that temporary the duties of the vice governor of the Penza region were assigned to the deputy chairman of the regional government Vladimir Maltsev.
According to the information available to news agency “PenzaNews,” Valery Savin is to take a position in the apparatus of the presidential envoy of the Volga Federal District.
Savin Valery was born on November 7, 1963 in Penza.
In 1985 he graduated from Penza Polytechnic Institute, in 1996 - Volga Academy of Public Administration.
From 1985 to 1993 he worked at the Penza Polytechnic Institute as engineer, senior lecturer, was a graduate student.
Since December 1993, he worked in the administration of Penza. He was the head of department for work with young people and public relations, and then headed the department for work with the administrative authorities, public organizations and youth.
From August 1998 to August 2005 - deputy head of administration of Penza.
From August 2005 to October 2007 — the head of the department for support of the governor of the Penza region.
After that he worked as the first deputy head of administration of Penza in Pervomaysky district, and later - the head of the district.
From February to September 2008 - the head of Leninsky district of Penza.
From September 2008 — the deputy chairman of the regional government — the head of interaction with local authorities.
In May 2013 he was appointed acting vice governor of the Penza region after the position was vacated by Vyacheslav Satin, but later again became the deputy chairman.
In the rank of the vice prime minister he supervized domestic policy, cooperation with law enforcement agencies, local authorities and the media.
In January 2014 he was appointed vice governor of the Penza region.
