The parties discussed prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields of agriculture. In particular, the issue of cooperation in the fields of livestock and poultry was raised.

“The development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkey is a truly important step in improving efficiency of agriculture in the region,” Vasily Bochkarev said.

In turn, Hasan Basri Güzeloğlu noted that Turkey is constantly increasing its cooperation with Russia, so the realization of investment projects in the Penza region will strengthen bilateral relations.

Vasily Bochkarev proposed a treaty of friendship and twinning between Mersin and Penza, and also invited the governor of the province for the celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the poet Mikhail Lermontov, the press service of the government of the region informed.
