Penza, 2 June 2014. PenzaNews. Over 100 people attended the seminar-meeting of party activists of the Communist Party of the Volga Federal District, which was held in Penza on May 31 and June 1.

Among the participants were the heads of the regional offices of the Communist Party, the Russian State Duma deputies, members of the central party apparatus.

Guest of honor was the first vice-speaker of the State Duma, the first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Ivan Melnikov and the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, the member of the Presidium of the Central Committee and secretary of the Communist Party Yuri Afonin.

During the meeting relevant party issues were discussed. For example, the representatives of Samara, Udmurtia, Mordovia, Chuvashia, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk and other regions reported on the work with primary party organizations, about their experiences with distribution of party newspapers and participation in elections.

As the press service of the regional committee of the Communist Party of Penza told news agency “PenzaNews,” local communists presented two new projects that may soon be implemented by the party at the federal level.

“One of such project is called “Red passport.” It allows constantly being in contact with thousands of our supporters and mobilize them to participate in public events and elections. The system is fully computerized, and thus low-cost and effective. The second project is called “Komsomol. Step forward,” which builds a system of rewards in Komsomol organizations,” the press service explained.

The last day of the meeting was divided into several sections, within which the problems of women, youth, releasing of party newspapers and other issues were discussed.

Summarizing the results of the meeting, the first vice-speaker of the State Duma, the first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Ivan Melnikov praised the work of the regional party organization.
