“Nobody is interested in the municipal elections anymore. The only people who still are are the entrepreneurs who need access to contracts due to their line of work, and the freaks [people with extraordinary outlook, which is the result of denial of social stereotypes],” the social activist told news agency PenzaNews when he was asked about the absence of transparency in the nomination of candidates to the post of mayor of Penza, since the names of candidates, except Yuri Voblikov and Yuri Krivov, remain uncovered.
Oleg Sharipkov emphasized that he also does not care about the elections of the head of administration of Penza.
“I do not care. Legislation and current practice are such that the governor decides who will be the mayor. And the governor is named by the country’s president. All the other structures just create the illusion of lawfulness,” the agency interlocutor summed up.
