Besides the chairman of the government of the Penza region Yuri Krivov, the position is claimed by the deputy director general of “Compass Finance” Alexander Frolenkov and the deputy director general of “Penzalift” Vladimir Belyakin.
Alexander Frolenkov made a comment on his decision to nominate for Penza mayor.
“I was encouraged by a media report which said the city has no one who would care about the fate of his native land. I already have management experience, so I think I can do it,” he said.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the competition for the position of the head of administration of the city will be closed to the media.
The post of the head of Penza administration had originally been claimed by four people, but one candidate was dismissed after the second organizational meeting of the competition committee.
The dismissed candidate turned out to be Yuri Voblikov, the regionally famous human rights activist who intended to “hit hands of the hooligans.”
