Vasily Bochkarev, Penza region governor, introduced Mikhail Kosoy as the new candidate for the position of chairman of regional government in the Legislative Assembly, wrote Viktor Rubtsov, governor’s staff department chief and head of the regional government, in his Twitter on Friday, August 22.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, Mikhail Kosoy, manager of the Pension Fund of Russia Penza branch, was appointed the first deputy chairman of the regional government on Friday, August 15, after which he was assigned the duties of prime minister.

Alexei Ryabov, who previously performed the duties of the chairman of the regional government, took the office of deputy prime minister on Monday, August 18.

The position of the first deputy chairman of the government of the Penza region was vacated on July 18 by Roman Chernov, who stayed in the office for less than a months.
