United Russia representatives won Penza City Duma elections

Penza, 15 September 2014. PenzaNews. Election Commission of the Penza region provided data on the voting in single-member districts of deputies of the City Duma of the sixth convocation held on Sunday, September 14. After processing 100% of protocols, the results showed that the candidates of United Russia Party won the campaign, getting 32 seats out of 35.

The highest level of public support for the ruling party was in the 19th district, where the United Russia candidate Viktor Kuvaytsev received 90.55% votes.

Communist represenatitves Oleg Shalyapin and Alexander Trutnev won in the 1st and the 11th districts respectively, and in the 5th district voted for the self-nominated Zhigansha Tuktarov, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.

The overall voter turnout in Penza was 23.32%.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, 130 candidates took part in the campaign for the 35 seats in the City Duma.
