Penza mayor elected to Union of Russian Cities board

Penza, 14 November 2014. PenzaNews. Yuri Krivov, head of Penza administration, was elected to the board of the Union of Russian Cities (URC) on Friday, November 14.

As the press service of the city administration informed PenzaNews agency, the elections to the governing bodies of the organization took place in the State Duma.
“Penza was represented by vice-mayor Larisa Ryabikhina,” the city administration noted.
The press service specified that the Union of Russian Cities is headed by Stanislav Mosharov, the mayor of Chelyabinsk.
The Union of Russian Cities was established in 1991.
Today, it includes 82 large and medium cities, 67 of which are the centers of Russian regions.
The main objectives of the Union are: organization of interaction between urban municipalities on matters affecting the interests of the local government, and assist in the implementation of projects ensuring effective local management.
