Experts listed major events of Penza region social and political life in December

Among the positives, they highlighted the opening of High Technology Park “Rameev” in Penza, the signing of the protocol of intent on the construction of livestock farms for 3,600 heads between the government of the region and the company “RosAgro,” the agreement to develop the potato farming project between LLC “Agrokom-Alians” and the Chinese company Inner Mongolia Linkage Potato, as well as the opening of a new confectionery manufacture “Vik-Invest” in Mokshansky area.
In addition, to positive events are attributed the visit of potential investors from Belarus, and the business trip to the Chinese province of Sichuan where the regional delegation held a series of talks.
In addition, the analysts positively assessed the fact that the Housing Fund approved the application of the Penza region to provide financial support for the resettlement of people from emergency housing.
Also, the analysis of the events in December included verification of ratings. Thus, company “Medialogia” placed the Penza region fifth in the list of regions on the implementation of the May presidential decrees, and the region life quality rating showed that the region rose six points.
However, the study conducted by fund “Petersburg politics” notes the events which had a negative impact on the positions of the Penza region.
In particular, they called the approaching end of Vasily Bochkarev’s governing period a factor contributing to the tension increase.
In addition, among the negative impacts they named the ongoing trial on the criminal case against Marina Pavlova, former head coach of basketball club “Yunost,” who is accused of committing fraud with money intended as the reward for the players.
According to the results of the monitoring of major events of social and political life in the region, as of the end of December 2014, the experts included the Penza region in the group of regions with maximum stability.
Rating the region amounted to 8.2 points, which is the same as the region obtained a month earlier.
The rating by the fond “Petersburg politics” is published monthly since autumn 2012. It assesses the level of socio-political stability of all regions of Russia.
The level of stability is determined by experts of the fund on a 10-point scale.
The rating divides the regions into four categories according to the degree of socio-political stability and dynamics based on the events of the past month.
