Penza, 21 January 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region will hold its first celebration of the State Official Day, an unofficial holiday of Russia.

The authorities plan to hold a meeting event with the youth on Friday, January 23, where over 150 students from the four Penza state universities get a chance to ask their questions to heads of departments and branches, ministers and government professionals.

A special award ceremony for the state officials of the Penza region will be held on Saturday, January 24, in the regional government, directed by Victor Rubtsov, governor’s staff department leader and chief of the regional government.

This is the first time the official state promotion procedure will be held as an official ceremony, along with awards and presents for four winners of the annual contest “Best Penza region state official” and federal and regional-level awards for 11 professionals.

“I think the term ‘state official’ has already lost its previous connotation. A state official of today is an open-minded person who keeps in touch with the age, knows how to use modern technology, does sports and lives and active live, always developing, studying, in spite of high work load,” Victor Rubtsov noted.

As the press service of the Penza region government informed PenzaNews agency, the celebration schedule will also potentially feature a discussion on the future the government institutions.
