State Duma deputy Vladimir Simagin awarded medal “For the Return of Crimea”

Penza, 18 February 2015. PenzaNews. Vladimir Simagin, the State Duma deputy from the Penza region of the CPRF faction, has been awarded the medal “For the Return of Crimea” from the Ministry of Defense.

As a member of the Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Compatriot Relations, Vladimir Simagin has done a great job in Crimea, the press service of the Penza region CPRF committee, informed PenzaNews agency.

“He was responsible for the city of Sevastopol, where he was the one who organized the transfer from Ukrainian passports to Russian passports,” the press service explained.

Vladimir Simagin himself said he was pleased his labor was commended and highly rewarded.

“I am glad, and I eagerly await the moment the EU and the US will blacklist me as well,” said the State Duma deputy.

The medal “For the Return of the Crimea” is a medal of the Ministry of Defense instituted in March 2014.

The first medals were awarded by the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoygu to members and officer of Berkut squad, Russian marines, officers of the Russian Black Sea Navy, and Sergei Aksenov, head of the Crimean government, on March 24, 2014.
