Penza, 27 April 2015. PenzaNews. Ivan Belozertsev, chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly, took part in the meeting of legislators of the Russian Federal Assembly held in St. Petersburg on Russian Parliamentary Day, on Monday, April 27.
The senators, Russian State Duma deputies, heads of regional legislative bodies and public representatives were addressed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
He raised issues related to the activities of the state authorities to overcome the economic crisis.
According to Ivan Belozertsev, the president emphasized the role of the public in the formulation of laws.
“Vladimir Putin was very precise saying that people on the spot have better notion of what troubles the local population. Therefore, I believe, we must make greater use of initiatives coming directly from the plows, from the farmers, representatives of business, science, professional communities and social groups in the law-making. Life proves that laws developed and adopted with the participation of citizens are the most effective,” the speaker of the regional parliament noted after the meeting.
He also stressed the importance of studying and implementing the best practices of the regions in the preparation and application of laws.
“It is very important in overcoming the economic difficulties that we are facing today. It should be understood that collective intelligence will contribute to the successful overcoming of crisis affecting all the regions of the country,” Ivan Belozertsev said.
In addition, he noted the symbolism of the meeting being held before the Victory Day.
“The President stressed that we all have a shared responsibility for ensuring that people know the truth about the war. This is very important. Any falsification of history, profiteering on the heroism of the Soviet people must be severely suppressed. And this must be controlled by the authorities,” the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region concluded.
