Penza, 26 May 2015. PenzaNews. Ivan Belozertsev, acting governor of the Penza region, said he has no plans to make hasty personnel decisions.

“The government will be formed on a professional basis,” he told the reporters during the visit to the company “Penztyazhpromarmatura” on Tuesday, May 26.

Ivan Belozertsev stressed that at the moment he can not assess the performance of each member of the government, but based on previous interactions he knows how some officials fulfill their duties.

“Therefore, most likely, they will be replaced. Until September, before the election of the governor, I will be supervising their performance, assessing their work attitude, their professional skills, and I will make the final decision along the way,” he explained.

In addition, responding to a reporter's question, Ivan Belozertsev confirmed his intention to participate in the elections, which he first said during the meeting in the regional government in the status of the acting governor.

“Yes, of course. The president showed great confidence in me, having appointed as acting governor of the Penza region. It is the highest responsibility to the citizens, to the President, to myself. Of course, I will participate in the election of the governor, as well as the representatives of other political parties. I will work so that the people supported me,” he said.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed acting governor of the Penza region, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Secretary of the regional branch of the United Russia party Ivan Belozertsev on May 25, 2015, due to the end of term of Vasily Bochkarev, who headed the region since 1998.
