Belozertsev, Kotov, Podobed, Spiryagin to take part in United Russia primaries

Penza, 3 June 2015. PenzaNews. Four people – Ivan Belozertsev, acting Penza region governor, secretary of the United Russia regional office; Nikolai Kotov, chairman of the regional workers unions federation, co-chairman of the regional APF headquarters; Vladimir Podobed, chairman of the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, secretary of the regional Civic Chamber; and Alexander Spiryagin, head of the Kolyshley area administration – will take part in the United Russia primaries for the gubernatorial election in the Penza region.

The list of contestants was unanimously approved during the June 3 session of the United Russia regional policy council.

In his description speech for the contenders, Ivan Belozertsev described them as experienced managers who are ready to struggle for the regional governor’s seat.

After confirming the list, the policy council members agreed on the electors who will take part in the meetings and vote in the primaries.

Following the primaries model No. 3, the meetings will involve the United Russia electors and representatives of civil organizations in equal numbers.

During the session, Ivan Belozertsev announced that the electors will come from the Penza region workers unions federation, “Women’s Movement of Russia,” the All-Russian Local Governance Council, the Hunters and Fishermen Union, the Afghan Veterans Council of Russia, the regional veterans council, the municipal bodies union, the Youth Guard of United Russia, the All-Russian teachers’ convention, and the All-Russian Society for the Disabled.

In their speeches to the electors, each candidate will be presenting his vision of the Penza region’s development and list his suggested solutions for the current issues.

The policy council members also agreed on the timetable of meetings between the contenders and the electors: each meeting will encompass several areas to enroll as many people as possible.

The first of them will take place at 10.00 am on Fridaym June 5, in “Rodina” shopping center of Kuznetsk town, and will involve the electors of Kuznetsk along with the Kuznetsk and Neverkino areas.

The Zasechny village meeting will take place at 10.00 am of June 9 and will involve the electors from the Kameshkir, Lopatino, Malaya Serdoba, Penza and Shemysheika areas. Another meeting, in the youth center on Kirova street of Penza, will take place at 16.00 of the same day, for people of the Leninsky and Pervomaisky areas of the city.

A meeting at June 10 will be organized in the culture and leisure center on Lenina street in Penza at 16.00 for the electors of Zheleznodorozhny and Oktyabrsky areas.

The Lunino village meeting will be held at 10.00 am of June 16 for people living in Bessonovo, Issa and Lunino areas, while Zarechny will hold its meeting at 17.00 in the culture center.

The Nikolsk meeting will take place at 10.00 of June 17 for representatives of the Gorodische, Nikolsk and Sosnovoborsk areas.

The meeting for the electors of Mokshan, Narovchat, Nizhny Lomov and Spassk areas will take place at 10.00 of June 18 in Nizhny Lomov.

Another set of meetings will take place on June 23 – at 10.00 in Serdobsk for the Bekovo, Kolyshley, Serdobsk and Tamalino areas, and 14.00 in Kamenka for Belinsky, Kamenka and Pachelma areas.

The final meeting of the set will take place at 11.00 of June 24 in Zemetchino.

Concluding the meeting of the policy council, Ivan Belozertsev instructed the responsible party officials to pay particular attention to the legal documents, such as rent agreements, required for the meetings.

“So that nobody, be it the local authorities, citizens or other political parties, would have anything to hold against us,” he stressed.
