Zhigansha Tuktarov first to submit for registration as gubernatorial election candidate

Penza, 29 June 2015. PenzaNews. Zhigansha Tuktarov, head of LDPR faction in the Penza City Duma, board chairman of “Siyanie” charity fund, who intends to take part in the Penza region gubernatorial election from the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, was the first to submit the documents for registration as a candidate to the regional election committee on Monday, June 29.

He provided the documents at 11.00. Following the procedure, the deputy chairman of the Penza region election committee Alexei Klimukhin named each of them: the listing take exactly half an hour.
Afterwards, the committee compared the quantity of the documents provided by the submitter, and the quantity of documents received by the election committee.
Following that, Zhigansha Tuktarov received a gubernatorial election candidate’s document submission confirmation notice, and a gubernatorial candidate trustees document submission confirmation notice, each in single copy.
“I would like to inform you that the data you have submitted to the election committee will be thoroughly cross-checked through various state bodies and institutions. If any information will be reported as falsified, you will be informed by the committee or the working group as per the set procedure. The session of the Penza region election committee on providing you a permission to open a dedicated election campaign bank account, registration of your financial representative, and registration of your trustees will be held at 17.00 tomorrow, on June 30,” said the deputy chairman of the Penza region election committee.
Explaining the submission procedure before the Penza region gubernatorial election to the journalists, Alexei Klimukhin explained that the working group of the regional election committee deals with receiving the documents, registering the candidate, assigning the representatives and the trustees, and the audits of the information and the persons.
“The candidates can submit the documents for the gubernatorial election until 18.00 of July 19. Until that hour, the election groups have the rights to promote their candidates, compile the documents and send them to us. Then we have 10 days to prepare the necessary papers for registration: they will be checked, and we will issue our decision to approve or decline the candidacy depending on the discrepancies found,” he clarified.
The deputy chairman of the regional election committee also reminded that a candidate must receive support signatures from the deputies of the representative bodies.
“The Penza region election committee has defined the required number: minimum 270 and maximum 283. All of them will be checked as well. If all the signatures are valid, the candidate who provided them will be able to register if all other papers are in order,” he added.
