Penza, 29 June 2015. PenzaNews. Vladimir Simagin, 40, deputy of the Russian Duma for the CPRF faction who will be promoted as a candidate for the gubernatorial election in the Penza region, plans to hold a wedding in August, just before the September 13 election.

“She is a regular Penza girl. She is 25, works as a teacher and psychologist in a childhood center, helps the children in need,” Vladimir Simagin told PenzaNews agency on Monday, June 29.

When asked a question about his fiancée’s relation to the Communist Party policies, the deputy said “she is not related to the party in any way.”

“She is not interested in politics,” said the interviewee, stressing that his future wife nevertheless supports all his ideas.

The chosen date is not related to the upcoming gubernatorial election in any way, said the State Duma deputy.

“I’m not making any connections to the election at all. Two people met each other and fell in love. It’s an entirely different thing. And, of course, the upcoming wedding and the family is much more important for me than the election. The elections come and go, but we have families, wives and kids. Family values first, no question,” Vladimir Simagin explained.

The wedding ceremony will not be too grand, he added, saying he plans to invite only the closest relatives and friends.

The State Duma deputy noted that he currently has no plans for the honeymoon, but did not exclude a possible trip with his future wife after the election.

“Maybe we will go somewhere in September-October,” the speaker said.

When asked about the wedding religious service, a ceremony that recently grew in popularity, the Communist Party representative admitted he did not think about it yet, and said such ceremonies are mostly a tribute to fashion.

“Their decisions to do this do not come from the soul. And I think it’s wrong. People must have a very particular stance about it. If we do think it’s important, then… We haven’t thought about it yet,” he concluded.
