“The Penza citizens know you, and you are well-acquainted with the region. I believe your experience of work in the region and management potential are greatly needed here,” said Ivan Belozertsev, acting governor of the Penza region.
He instructed the acting head of the regional government to improve the work of his official body in order to resolve the present issues and implement the projects for the social and economic development of the area on cooperative basis.
In his turn, Valery Savin thanked Ivan Belozertsev for the trust and the offer to work in the same team with him.
“This is a great honor for me,” the press service of the Penza region government quotes the official.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, Valery Savin left his previous position as the assistant to the presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District of his own accord. His last day on the previous job was Monday, June 29.
Originally, an anonymous regional government source reported by the end of the day that Valery Savin’s appointment has been confirmed. The former assistant to the presidential envoy declined to comment on the news.
