Penza, 13 July 2015. PenzaNews. Vladimir Popkov, chairman of the Penza region branch of Rodina political party and its promoted candidate for the local gubernatorial election, submitted the documents for registration as a candidate to the regional election committee on Monday, July 13.

“July 13 2015, working group accepts documents from Vladimir Alexandrovich Popkov as candidate for Penza region gubernatorial election,” says the message published in the Twitter account of the regional election committee.

They received the documents from the candidate at 9.52 am, the deputy committee chairman Alexei Klimukhin told PenzaNews agency.

“We will cross-check the truthfulness of the provided data with the relevant bodies and organizations,” he noted.

Alexei Klimukhin also added that one more candidate, Gennady Yeroshin, plans to submit for registration on Monday, July 13.

“He confirmed he will bring the documents relevant to his registration as a candidate for the gubernatorial election by 15.00,” the deputy committee chairman pointed out.
