Gennady Yeroshin provides tops deputy signatures requirement for election committee

Penza, 27 July 2015. PenzaNews. Gennady Yeroshin, Distinguished Doctor of the CIS, head of the management department of the regional war veterans hospital, who was promoted as the candidate of “A Just Russia” for the Penza region gubernatorial election, has submitted the required number of deputy signatures to the regional election committee required to complete his registration as a candidate.

“Gennady Yeroshin, just like other candidates [Vladimir Simagin of CPRF, Zhigansha Tuktarov of LDPR and Vladimir Popkov of ‘Rodina’], has provided 283 signatures of municipal deputies to the Penza region election committee, as well as the information on opening a dedicated election bank account, the documents for three potential candidates to be elected as Federation Council members in case of his success,” Alexei Klimukhin, deputy chairman of the regional election committee, informed PenzaNews agency.
According to him, this list includes Valery Plakhuta, general director of “Anshlag” advertising agency; Alexander Demkin, special production areas director of “MashStal”; and Irina Glukhovskaya, director of “Yunona.”
“Moreover, Gennady Yeroshin provided a written document saying he owns no bank accounts or valuables abroad and neither owns nor uses any foreign financial services,” the speaker clarified.
Alexei Klimukhin added that two remaining candidates – Ivan Belozertsev, acting governor of the Penza region promoted from the regional United Russia party branch, and Alexander Frolenkov, a non-affiliated candidate that was promoted by “CHESTNO” party – are yet to provide the required registration documents.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the promoted candidates will be able to provide the necessary signatures until 6 pm of Wednesay, July 29.
The Penza region election committee will have ten days to check the signatures and the documents provided by the candidates.
Every check will result in an approval or a decline with a reason.
The Penza region gubernatorial election will take place on September 13, with the schedule of preparation procedures announced in June.
