The presidium of the United Russia party General Council has approved Victor Kondrashkin, Doctor of Historical Sciences, member of the Legislative Assembly social policy committee, head of the Russian History, Local Lore and History Teaching Theory faculty at the Penza State University, as the new member of the Russian Federation Council.

The General Council session was held in Moscow on Wednesday, August 5, the press service of the regional party department informed PenzaNews agency.

“Following the party regulations, the General Council Presidium recommended the United Russia faction deputies in the Penza region Legislative Assembly support his candidacy for promotion to the Federation Council,” the organization department reported.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, Victor Kondrashkin was recommended for promotion to the Federation Council during the July 27 session of the political council at the Penza branch for United Russia party.

The agenda of the 28th regular session of the Penza region Legislative Assembly scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, will include the discussion of a new potential member of the Russian Federation Council from the regional Parliament of the fifth convocation.
