Penza region named among most socially, politically stable regions

Penza, 8 September 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza region was placed among the regions with the highest social and political stability in August 2015, according to the results of the “Petersburg Politics” fund rating published on Tuesday, September 8.

The highest category in the rating was taken by 11 federal regions with ratings from 8 to 8.5 points. The Penza region was given 8 points, which is 0.1 points over the previous month’s level.
The list of the positive events that brought more stability includes the opening of a milk cattle breeding complex in the Kuznetsk area; the signing of an investment agreement for a potato shipping logistics center for over 1 billion rubles with “Bashmakovsky Khleb”; and cooperation talks with the “Cherkizovo” company group.
The analysts also praised the talks of the acting governor Ivan Belozertsev with the general director of “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz” Kirill Seleznev on increasing investments in the Penza region, and the first dedicated agricultural machinery exhibition “PenzAgroTekh.”
The list of negative events for the Penza region includes the call of the youth civil organization “Modern Age Generation” to boycott the upcoming gubernatorial election, and the technical issues at the housing complex “Dvoryansky” that led to recommendations for its residents to find new homes.
The list of notable events that did not affect the social and political stability rating of the Penza region included the publication of the final list of gubernatorial candidates, the adoption of the law on ex-governor’s pension bonus in the regional Legislative Assembly, and the decrease of public transport fares in Penza.
