Penza, 14 September 2015. PenzaNews. The secretary of the regional United Russia party branch Ivan Belozertsev, who achieved an unrivaled victory during the Penza region gubernatorial election, thanked the citizens for actively voting on September 13.

“You are the true patriots of the Sura land! You are those active and patriotic people who keep our region and the whole Russia afloat!” he stressed.

Ivan Belozertsev also added that he received a great number of suggestions, advice and reports when meeting citizens during his election campaign.

“All of them will be reviewed, including the reasonable ideas by other candidates. It is important for me to take all hopes of the people in our work,” he stressed.

Ivan Belozertsev also expressed his belief that the Penza region will continue to develop to become a prosperous modern strong region.

“The region keeps meeting the new tough tasks of the day. All of us are simply obliged to make lives of Penza people more comfortable, lucrative and safe,” the press service of the regional government quotes the leader of the regional United Russia branch.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the secretary of the regional United Russia party branch, acting governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev achieved the unrivaled victory in the September 13 Penza region gubernatorial election.

According to preliminary data, his candidacy was supported by 588,265 voters of the region, or 86.04%.

The second best result was achieved by the State Duma deputy from the Penza region for the CPRF faction Vladimir Simagin, who earned 7.75% of the vote.

Zhigansha Tuktarov (LDPR) received 2.86%; Gennady Yeroshin (“A Just Russia”) – 1.35%; and Vladimir Popkov (“Rodina”) – 0.97%.

The voter turnout reached over 62%.
