According to the notes, the changes were dictated by the need to optimize the expenses for the regional budget.
In particular, the law draft seeks to eliminate the monthly pension of 10,000 rubles for bills, communal services and mobile phone use.
Moreover, if the law passes, the family of the ex-governor will no longer receive the monthly subsidy equal to the latter’s quadruple insurance pay in case of the latter’s passing; instead, they will receive a one-time monetary sum equal to half of his yearly income.
The persons eligible for the law, according to the draft, will be the governor’s wife or husband, parents, children under 18, or over 18 if they received disability before coming of age, and young adults under 23 who are undergoing full-time study courses.
However, the ex-governor will retain their right to use the service car of the Penza region government for a limited time every year, all expenses paid from the regional budget.
