Penza university students from the former USSR countries – Ukraine, Belarus, Moldavia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Armenia – as well as Jordan, China, India and Chad will give their reports and tell about the developments of the Communist movement in their states.
The local Communists actively cooperate with their colleagues from other regions and countries, said Georgy Kamnev, first secretary of the CPRF Penza region committee, deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly.
“It won’t be overstating to say that the Crimean Communists are best friends of the Penza Communists, thanks to our compatriot, former Minister of Education to the Crimean Republic, secretary of the CPRF republican committee Valery Lavrov, who visited our region numerous times and took part in our meetings. Also, we maintain strong connections with Oleg Solomakhin, first secretary of the Crimean republican committee, who always gives us a warm welcome when we visit Crimea and for which we are immensely grateful. The Penza Communists have visited Crimea numerous times: we took part in the Komsomol gathering, the celebrations of Mikhail Lermontov’s anniversary, in a science forum to the Yalta Conference. At the moment, Dmitry Filyaev, first secretary of the CPRF Penza city committee, is taking part in the research and practical conference in Simferopol,” the leader of the Penza Communist Party branch pointed out.
Georgy Kamnev also stressed that the local Party activists maintain international contacts.
“I was a member of the Russian Communists delegation to the People’s Republic of China, which keeps expanding actively. We keep in touch with our comrades in Sweden, in Ukraine, we actively research the experience in the brotherly nation of Belarus. During our visits through the region, we often share the unique project to reborn Belarus villages, show a documentary on it that attracts great attention. Many of the Penza Communists visited the country and have quite a bit to tell. Last year, our press secretary Sergei Padalkin has met the leader of the Belarus Communist Party, and personally witnessed the workings of local enterprises and agricultural towns. This resulted in a series of publications in the newspaper ‘Penzenskaya Iskra’,” the deputy added.
The move to the new building caused an influx of new visitors to the regional committee, he pointed out.
“The Penza region CPRF committee is always happy to see the guests, especially the young people who take interest in the Communist movement. We are also visited by foreign students who actually gave the idea for this conference, a step we only welcome,” Georgy Kamnev concluded.
