Penza United Russia branch supports Valery Savelyev as new city head

Penza, 22 December 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza branch of United Russia party has supported Valery Savelyev, chief medical officer of the Evgrafov psychiatric hospital, City Duma deputy, as the new city head.

The 21st conference of the regional United Russia party branch that took place on December 22 featured the vote for two candidates, Valery Savelyev, and Andrei Suchkov, director of “Elena,” City Duma deputy.
In his address to the audience, Valery Savelyev pointed out that he knows the problems of Penza first-hand.
Among the primary tasks for the new city head he named budget enrichment, industry and SME development, city transportation optimization, investment increase and building construction.
At the same time, Andrei Suchkov declined to make a speech of his own.
As a result of the secret vote, Valery Savelyev received support of 223 delegates, while Andrei Suchkov received 62 votes and 7 ballots were deemed void.
As a result, Valery Savelyev received the necessary majority to become the candidate for the Penza city head office for review on the upcoming City Duma session on Wednesday, December 23.
