The Penza city head must be a “link” between representative and executive power branches, suggested the Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev during the 21st United Russia regional party branch conference held in the Lermontov regional library on Tuesday, December 22.

According to him, this is important because the objectives for the City Duma deputies and city administration officials are somewhat similar.

Moreover, the new city head must be a competent person who is well experienced in the city affairs, Victor Kuvaytsev pointed out.

“Do mind the deputies always feel their responsibility to the voters – they must follow the people’s requests in the programs they form. At the same time, it is vital to preserve the norm-keeping work that allows some slack for our citizens in the crisis situations,” the city administration head added.

He also noted that Penza citizens must constantly feel the care from the city head and the deputies and see the development potential appearing thanks to authorities.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the delegates of the 21st United Russian regional party branch conference held on December 22 supported Valery Savelyev, chief medical officer of the Evgrafov psychiatric hospital, City Duma deputy, as the new city head for the Penza city head office for review on the upcoming City Duma session on Wednesday, December 23.
