Alexander Vasilyev to head Penza region LDPR branch

Penza, 28 December 2015. PenzaNews. Alexander Vasilyev was unanimously elected the new coordinator for the Penza region branch of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR) on the coordination council session held on Sunday, December 27.

Previously, the candidacy of Alexander Vasilyev had been supported and recommended by the Party’s Supreme Council members and its leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky himself.
State Duma deputy Anton Ischenko, who was present at the coordination council session, stressed that Alexander Vasilyev heads the regional Party branch at a crucial point in time.
“The State Duma will hold deputy election in 2016, and the election results in 2016 will directly depend on the work of the regional branch activists led by their new coordinator Alexander Vasilyev. LDPR has a solid and experienced team in Penza. I believe they will achieve the results they need,” he said.
Alexander Vasilyev will be replacing Mikhail Usov, who had been working as the coordinator of the Penza region LDPR branch since the spring of 2013.
“He [Mikhail Usov] voluntarily resigned from the office,” the press service of the regional Party branch informed PenzaNews agency.
Alexander Evgenyevich Vasilyev was born in Penza on 24 June 1981.
He began the political record in 2009 by joining the Russian Liberal Democratic Party, and coordinated the Penza city Oktyabr branch in 2010-2012.
From 2011, Alexander Vasilyev was a member of the coordination council of Penza region LDPR branch.
In 2012, he became the assistant to the State Duma deputy Anton Ischenko.
Between June 2013 and December 2015, Alexander Vasilyev coordinated the Penza city branch of LDPR, and on 27 December 2015, he was elected the new coordinator of the Penza region branch of the Party.
He has a degree in Economics, and is married with a son.
