“Of course, most of the people know their work well – they are competent, skilled professionally. However, my first month [as the Penza city administration head] showed not all are ready to work at the same pace as I do. And, moreover, some got used to a rather lax time discipline. So I had to offer them to seek slightly different volume and field of work,” the Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev said during an extensive interview to the editor-in-chief of PenzaNews agency Pavel Polosin.
Nevertheless, he said he was assured that the chosen pace is comfortable not only for him, but for his colleagues as well.
“I live at this pace for over 30 years. If you look at my timeline, that likely comes from the time when I went to work as a harvester operator in a communal farm and then was a company sergeant in the army – I also needed to do everything earlier than everyone else,” the Penza city mayor pointed out.
“Everyone knows I work in the early hours. That is convenient for me, and I already told you about that as well. And I think that is convenient for my colleagues in state service as well, as the municipality begins work at 9.00, and we have no need to use this time – starting at 9.00 and further – for discussions. We agreed to discuss everything related to workflow management before 9.00, and starting from 9.00 we dedicate ourselves to our citizens and the work to resolve the issues of the day,” he said.
