According to the leader of the Penza Communists, the United Russia will meet the same fate as all previous parties of power, such as Yegor Gaidar’s “Democratic Choice of Russia” and Viktor Chernomyrdin’s “Our Home – Russia.”
“The reason is simple. Professional bureaucrats – the labor union of state servants who form the backbone of the party – learned only one thing, to redistribute excess oil sales profit. Nowadays, when the oil prices went down, we see them confused, with a silent question in their eyes: ‘What do we do now?’ And here is when the confused United Russia state servants receive the aid from their leader Dmitry Medvedev, who informs the stunned audience of his new successes as the chairman of the government,” Georgy Kamnev noted in his videoblog post.
According to him, it is surprising to see the Prime Minister to take the credit for a faster slump of the oil industry – from 70% earlier to just 45% now – compared to the rest of the industry which went down by over 3% in 2015.
Also, the first secretary of the Penza region CPRF committee took an opportunity to focus on the anti-crisis proposals coming from the party of power, which can be summed up to privatizing state assets of the most profitable enterprises, reducing social benefits and subsidies, rejecting transition to progressive tax scale, and banning export of capital.
“This is nothing else but the continuation of the very line that led us into this dead end. That is why the United Russia will be meeting the same fate as all previous parties of power. Citizens of Russia will be giving their mark to the graspless rule of United Russia, and that moment will come very soon – on 18 September 2016 – during the State Duma election,” Georgy Kamnev said.
In his opinion, the only opportunity for Russia to save its economy lies in taking an entirely opposite course, the course for development.
“We must abandon the strict peg of ruble to export volumes. We must use the system of providing loans to the most headline industries directly by the government sans the banks. We must use the resource of state enterprises to create closed-circuit process chains in such fields as civil aircraft engineering, biomedical technologies, agricultural machinery engineering. In 1990, every third civil airplane in the world was produced in the USSR; nowadays, we make only 2%,” reminded the Penza region Legislative Assembly deputy.
Moreover, Georgy Kamnev expressed his belief that the aforementioned proposals are entirely possible to implement.
“We have the human resources potential, we have a high-capacity internal market. We just need to replace the bankrupt liberals for patriots and proponents of strong state. Quoting the leader of our party, Gennady Andreevich Zyuganov, ‘the CPRF has the experience of forming the government of public trust during the 1998 crisis. Back then, over a year, we managed to steer the country away from the edge of the abyss.’ The Communists will manage this time as well, and we need public support for that,” summed up the leader of the Penza Communists.
