The indexation of salaries and wages of civil and state servants in the Penza region against inflation has been suspended until 2017, in accordance with the regional Legislative Assembly decree approved during the 33rd regular session of the regional parliament held on Friday, February 12.

The law draft has been presented to the deputies by Larisa Ryabikhina, gubernatorial and regional government staff chief.

“The following law draft suspends Part 8, Art. 2 of the law [‘On Monetary Pay to State Civil Servants In The Penza Region And People Replacing State Offices In The Penza Region’] that provides for yearly indexation […] against inflation, up to 1 January 2017. The law draft will require no additional funding,” she explained.

The law draft has been unanimously supported by the deputies.
