Penza, 25 February 2016. PenzaNews. The government of Russia is repeating the mistakes that brought Yanukovich’s regime to its downfall, Georgy Kamnev, first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, suggested in his video blog entry dedicated to two years of the coup d’etat in Ukraine.

“After gaining the authority in full, the pro-Western liberals and blatant fascists began a campaign of terror against those who disagreed with them. They banned the Communist Party, the Communism ideas themselves were prohibited. The Kiev junta unleashed full-fledged massacre against their own citizens in Donbass. Is it possible for the Ukrainian events to be repeated here, in Russia, we all thin? It seems impossible. But even in Ukraine, the year before the sorrowful events of winter 2014, everything that did happen had seemed impossible. It is dreary to see the Russian government to repeat the mistakes that brought on Yanukovich’s regime to its downfall,” Georgy Kamnev noted.

The liberals that follow the example of Washington, he stressed, are now working as ministers, heading state corporations, and outright speak of capitulating before the West, secede Crimea and refuse help to Donbass and Syria.

“Moreover, they are directly harming the Russian economy by stifling actual production, undermining import replacement. Instead of giving money to the people, which would help develop the internal market, they are binding the people with new levies, such as capital repairs bills, and giving the earned money to the banks. No Maidan comes without a betrayal inside the ruling elite itself. And the liberals in power are ever waiting for an opportune moment to make our country follow the Ukrainian scenario, uniting with the liberals in the opposition and dealing the final crushing blow to patriots in the country,” said the leader of Penza Communists.

He also recalled a soviet joke, in which the Communist Party General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev decided to award the Russian Emperor Nicholas II the Order of the October Revolution, one of the highest USSR awards, for creating the grounds for the revolution.

“It almost looks like the current authorities are deliberately creating the full range of conditions for a deep socioeconomic and political crisis, thus helping the foes of Russia prepare a Maidan here. Many patriotic citizens think this calls for uniting over the authorities and stifle any criticism. We, the Communists, consider such approach to be a mistake. In Ukraine, there also were those who tried to unite over Yanukovich, and when Yanukovich ran away, they were disoriented, their will to fight the fascists having been broken. In order to not repeat the sorrowful example of Ukraine, we need to begin preparing people in advance to driving away the liberal-fascists hungry for power, if a Maidan occurs in Russia. Only the Communist Party can become the driving force in this struggle,” Georgy Kamnev expressed his beliefs.

According to him, CPRF representatives learned the lesson of Ukraine and are already ready to act against the neo-fascists.

“We are not going to wait for them to get to burning regional Party committees and tearing down Soviet monuments. We are already ready to push back the modern fascism that revealed its face in Ukraine. We urge everyone, who do not want the liberal-fascists to come to power, to join the Communist Party, join us,” concluded the first secretary of the CPRF regional committee.
