Penza, 18 March 2016. PenzaNews. Sergei Kazakov, Distinguished Artist of Russia, Presidential Trustee, artistic director of the Penza Lunacharsky Drama Theater, deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly, who is currently not a member of any political party, sees participation in the United Russia party primaries as another test.

“First of all, this is a test, and, secondly, an attempt and chance to employ your knowledge, your talents to help the party. Many reasons overall,” Sergei Kazakov commented for PenzaNews on his decision to take part in the primaries.
Also, the vote is an opportunity to get a closer look on the troubling public issues to find solutions to them.

“My late grandmother once told me that if you do not get thanked by other people by the end of the day, that day is wasted. This is why I am involved in civil activities since I was 5. I am always helping somebody, doing something for that. If nobody thanks me during the day, I get worried. It’s in my blood,” the deputy said.

Sergei Kazakov pointed out that although he is not a member of the United Russia, he says it is his duty to support the party.

“Although I am not a party member, there’s this situation in the world… As a presidential trustee, I see the opportunity to support the standing of the party and the Russian President,” he concluded.

As PenzaNews reported earlier, six more candidates, including Sergei Kazakov, registered for the United Russia primaries before the election to the Russian State Duma of the seventh convocation during the regular session of the Penza regional primaries committee.
