According to the deputy, who is currently in Moscow, the baby was born approxuimately 1.5 hours ago.
“My wife and I decided to name him Stepan,” he told a PenzaNews reporter in a phone call.
The mother and the newborn are in a good state right now, Vladimir Simagin clarified.
According to him, the recent event made April 25 a three-times important date for him.
“This is the day when my mother was born – she is 64 today. Several years ago, I defended my Ph.D. thesis on this very day. And there’s the coincidence – today my son was born,” he said.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, Vladimir Simagin got married on 6 August 2015 to a 25-year-old young woman who worked as a psychologist at a childcare center. According to the deputy, his wife is in no way related to the Communist Party and not involved in any politics.
Based on information available, the wedding ceremony was humble and involved only the groom and wife’s relatives and closest friends.
