As he explained, the civil activist joined the party at her own request. However, he struggled to elaborate on when exactly Lyudmila Kolomytseva decided to upgrade her status with “A Just Russia” party from a follower to a full-scale member.
“Everything that we are doing right now – I am not going to hide it – is to make her participate in the upcoming State Duma election campaign. We see her as the leading expert – that is correct, the leading expert on communal affairs in the Penza region, and she is defending the rights and needs of the citizens. This is the objective for the party overall and for every member of the party. By inviting such a proficient expert into our ranks, we increase the chances for success for both the party overall and the regional branch in particular,” Valery Plakhuta said.
The candidates for the State Duma election campaign will be chosen after “A Just Russia” convention in Moscow on June 27.
“We have our expectation in regards to a number of persons. […] We appear to have single-mandate election areas – there definitely will be candidates from ‘A Just Russia’ in No. 146 and No. 147, that is a decided fact,” the regional party branch leader clarified.
As Valery Plakhuta pointed out, this will coincide with the selection of other party followers and members that will take part in the campaign, yet their names are yet to be decided.
