CPRF chooses Kamnev for Penza district, Petrov for Lermontov district at Duma election

Penza, 26 June 2016. PenzaNews. Georgy Kamnev, first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, will be taking part in the State Duma election in the 146th Penza single-mandate election district, while Alexei Petrov, regional CPRF committee member, City Duma deputy of fourth and fifth congregations, will be doing the same in the 147th Lermontov district, according to the decision adopted at the 16th extraordinary Communist Party convention on Saturday, June 25.

In addition, Georgy Kamnev will be joining the regional group No. 26 for federal candidates – for the Penza, Lipetsk and Tambov regions – as a candidate No. 3.
The first place in the aforementioned regional group is Tamara Pletneva, State Duma deputy, member of the CPRF Central Committee. She is followed by the current State Duma member and leader of CPRF in Lipetsk Nikolai Razvorotnev.
Along with Georgy Kamnev and the aforementioned candidates, the ten-member regional election group No. 26 features two more candidates from Penza – the State Duma deputy Vladimir Simagin (No. 5) and the first secretary of the Penza CPRF city committee Dmitry Filyaev (No. 10).
The federal list of the State Duma election candidates from the CPRF is headed by the party’s leader Gennady Zyuganov, followed by two more current State Duma deputies – cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya, and CPRF Central Committee member and youth policy manager Yuri Afonin.
Also, the top 10 of the CPRF federal candidates roster (for a total of 400 persons) includes Ivan Melnikov, Sergei Reshulsky, Dmitry Novikov, Vladimir Kashin, Vakha Agaev, Zhores Alferov, and Kazbek Taysaev.
During the convention, delegates promoted 225 people as candidates for the election to the State Duma of the seventh convocation in single-mandate election district, and supported their election program, titled “Ten Steps Towards a Worthy Life.”
