Penza, 21 July 2016. PenzaNews. The chairman of the Penza regional election commission Nikolai Taktarov, who has been occupying this post since 9 July 1999, thinks that the struggle between the candidates in the up-coming election to the State Duma of Russian will be keen.

“It is definitely going to be keen,” Nikolai Taktarov said during the meeting the PenzaNews team on Thursday, July 21.

Along with that, he expressed his hope that the election will be fair.

According to Nikolai Taktarov, this is confirmed, in particular, by “new messages from the Central Election Commission.”

In support of his contention, he reminded of the situation when the chairman of the Moscow regional election commission Irek Vildanov was forced to resign.

In addition, Nikolai Taktarov remarked that during the recent meeting with representatives of political parties there were stated no significant objections to the work of the regional election commission.

He also noted that, in general, election campaigns have always run smoothly in the region.

“I am happy that elections on the territory of the Penza region are clearer and more lawful. It is a fact confirmed by figures,” Nikolai Taktarov stressed.
