Vyacheslav Volodin meets United Russia Party activists in Penza

Penza, 31 August 2016. PenzaNews. First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Vyacheslav Volodin, who visited Penza during his vacation on Wednesday, August 31, met with the United Russia Party activists in the Lermontov regional library.

They summed up the work of eight discussion forums organized in the Penza region, where the United Russia Party discussed the progress of party projects.
During the plenary session, they suggested solutions of existing problems in the region.
Commenting on the reports on the work of forums, the secretary of the regional branch of United Russia, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Valery Lidin praised the interim results of the implementation of party project, noting that they helped improving the quality of life of the population.
“Working with citizens is one of the most important directions of our regional branch,” he stressed.
In turn, Governor Ivan Belozertsev drew attention of the gathered among whom were officials, doctors, teachers, representatives of culture and sports, as well as heads of industrial enterprises, to the success of the regional economy demonstrated despite the objective difficulties.
“I am pleased that in the seven months of this year as a result of effective work, revival of the economy of the Penza region, the regional budget received 2, 870 million rubles more than the last year. We need this money to implement important social projects, including support of small and medium-sized enterprises,” the head of the region said, noting that among the priorities is the implementation of Vladimir Putin's May decree.
In turn, welcoming the party activists, Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized the forthcoming elections to the Russian State Duma of the seventh convocation to be held on September 18.
“We need legitimate elections. It is important that the campaign is open, because there is competition. There are 14 political parties that participate in the election campaign. Elections are held on a mixed system. The Penza region has two single-member districts. Therefore, with regard to competition and choice — it is huge. But we must always understand that the credibility of the results goes before the desire for a high percentage,” he stressed.
Vyacheslav Volodin also praised the results of implementation of party projects voiced during the forum and suggested organizing similar events at the regional level.
