Ivan Belozertsev votes among first in elections of State Duma deputies

Penza, 18 September 2016. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozertsev was one of the first to vote in the elections of deputies of the State Duma at polling station No. 61, Center of culture and leisure on Lenina Street, on Sunday morning, September 18.

At the entrance, the head of the region spoke with reporters, noting the importance of the elections to the lower house of parliament.

“Today is the country's most important political event — we elect the new State Duma. I think that each of us, who comes to the polling station, will vote for stability in the Russian Federation,” Ivan Belozertsev said.

He expressed the hope that the new Duma will work professionally, pass the bills aimed at economic and social development of the country, and will be a pillar of Russian President in his foreign policy.

“Our regional candidates are worthy, and I hope that they will adequately represent the Penza region in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Stability in Russia is very important today; the country's future depends on the voice of every citizen, resident of the Penza region. It's true,” the governor said.

After that, he and his wife went in, received the ballot — first the head of the region, then his wife.

After a conversation with the members of the election commission, Ivan Belozertsev noted they created excellent conditions in the center of culture and leisure for the citizens to vote.

In particular, a rich cultural program was organized. The voters enjoy the municipal brass orchestra directed by the honored worker of culture Anatoly Naberezhny.

The buffet offers pies and pastries at affordable prices. There is also a small market of local producers’ goods, for example, sausage from Tamala, and honey from Bessonovka area.

Immediately after the vote Ivan Belozertsev and his wife left the polling station.
