In the State Duma of the sixth convocation, he also held that post.
The day before, the leaders of the four State Duma parties divided all 26 core committees between the factions. United Russia leads exactly half of them. CPRF and LDPR have five committees each, “The Just Russia” — three.
Candidates for the positions of committee heads are almost determined, but no official statement is made yet, because of the ongoing consultations on the first deputies’ nominations.
In addition, this week the leaders of the factions must distribute Duma commissions’ portfolios.
The final decision will be taken at the first plenary session of the Russian State Duma of the seventh convocation, held on Wednesday, October 5.
