The leader of the Penza communists, member of the Central Committee of the Communists Party of Russia Georgy Kamnev commented on the XII joint plenum of CPRF Central Committee and Central Utilization Review Committee, which took place in the Moscow region on Saturday, October 22.

“The results of the election were considered at the plenum. It was decided to convene the CPRF meeting on the election results, which will be held in May. Of course, there were exposed flaws of the election campaign, defined work to correct them so that the result is much better,” Georgy Kamnev told PenzaNews.

According to him, the plenum went quite constructively, without any accusations.

“There were discussed issues of applying new technologies for improving results at the next election. And in fact there was declared preparation for the regional election, which is going to be held next year. In general, I am very satisfied,” the agency interlocutor noted.

The First Secretary of the Communist Party Regional Committee said that in the future the party will concentrate on two areas of activity.

“The major one is organizational, as for the first time in the history the large federal election was held with very low participation of people – less than 50%. […] The party has a task not only to agitate but to bring its voters to the polls,” he said.

According to Georgy Kamnev, during the plenary session the project of the Penza CPRF Regional Committee on attracting voters to the polling stations was given as an example.

“Although we cannot call the results outstanding, in those districts where we carried out the experiment, where we tried to implement our project, we could even win. It was recognized at the party level, and now, I hope, it will spread all over the country,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
