Andrei Zuev wants 2 million rubles compensation for illegal criminal persecution

Penza, 30 November 2016. PenzaNews. The ex-deputy of the Penza region Legislative Assembly of the Penza region for the CPRF faction Andrei Zuev who was earlier accused of racketeering and orchestrating a criminal gang, sued for moral damage compensation equal to 2 million rubles for illegal criminal persecution.

“The criminal persecution against me under the articles that became known to everyone because of the mass media, these are Art. 203 ‘Racketeering’ and Art. 210 ‘Organization of criminal gang’ of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, was finally stopped for lack of corpus delicti in my actions,” Andrei Zuev reminded in an exclusive interview to the PenzaNews editor Pavel Polosin.

He specified that being accused of these crimes, altogether he remained under detention a bit less than a year – 10 months and 17 days.

“I was explained the right for rehabilitation and material compensation for illegal criminal persecution. I used this right. Now I want to exact the money from the Ministry of Finance represented by the department of federal treasury of the Penza region,” Andrei Zuev said.
