It was suggested that the assistant Presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko is included in the top three of the regional list of parliamentary candidates for the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region from the "United Russia" faction. This was reported by the secretary of the regional department of the faction, the speaker of the regional parliament, Valery Lidin.

"According to the decision of the presidium meeting that was held yesterday, [...] the regional part of the list will be headed by the governor of the Penza region Ivan Alexandrovich Belozertsev," he said at the 23rd conference of the "United Russia" regional department held in the regional Lermontov library on Wednesday, July 5.

According to the leader of Penza members of "United Russia", it was also suggested that he, as the secretary of the regional department of the faction, and Oleg Melnichenko, as the assistant Presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District, are also included in the top three of the regional part of the candidates list.

Previously, it was supposed that the top three would also include Victor Kondrashin, member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

As it was reported before, it is planned that during the 23rd conference of the Penza regional "United Russia" department, candidates for the elections, which will be held in the Penza region on a single voting day, September 10, will be approved.

Oleg Melnichenko was born in Penza. At various times he worked as Minister of Education of the Penza region, vice governor and deputy chairman of the regional government.
