“In addition to hundreds observers we expect […], we also plan to bring deputies of the European Parliament here – several people. We had a preliminary deal. We will send them somewhere to Lopatino area, let them be taken to the police office, as it was done to our activists, and be told that a deputy of the European Parliament is not allowed to be here without permission of the administration head. Let them see how the election is actually organized,” the leader of the Penza communists, presidium member of the Central Committee of CPRF said during the press conference held in the regional committee of the party on Saturday, July 15.
According to him, there is no task to show that “something is bad in the Penza region.”
“But it is no longer possible to tolerate it,” the communist stressed.
Georgy Kamnev explained that in the present circumstances the success of CPRF, like that of any other party except for the “United Russia,” depends not on the effectiveness of agitation but on the ability to control voting.
“You can agitate using every possible way, and people will come to the polls, but villains in district committees sometimes can simply rewrite everything,” the presidium member of the Central Committee of CPRF said.
