In particular, he drew attention to broken wires hanging on trees and remaining from the New Year illumination.
“In the year of the celebration of the 350th anniversary [of Penza], we decorated some streets with decorative lamps. A couple of lamp domes were damaged, that’s it, and then you decided they should better be demolished than brought back to the original state. Well, we are not going to make our city beautiful this way. I believe everything should be restored,” Ivan Belozertsev said during an operational meeting held in the regional government on Monday, July 17.
The governor also reminded of the task to plant new trees in the city center instead of those felled.
“The asphalt near the central post office in Penza is so bad that one can damage a leg.[…] I see that. Valery Petrovich, you as the head of the city don’t see that. Then leave your car in a garage and get on a bike. And you should take walks,” the head of the region noted.
