Penza, 2 August 2017. PenzaNews. All ten political parties that earlier submitted documents for registration to the regional election committee will take part in the elections for the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the sixth convocation scheduled for September 10.

As the regional election committee told PenzaNews, regional lists of candidates from 4 parliamentary and 6 non-parliamentary parties were certified.

These are "United Russia", LDPR, CPRF, "A Just Russia", as well as "Party of social protection", "Party of Pensioners", the parties "For Justice", "Patriots of Russia", "The Greens" and "Rodina".

The deadline for registration of candidates for single-seat electoral districts is August 5 but it can be brought forward.

Elections for the Legislative Assembly of the 6th convocation will be held according to a mixed electoral system: 18 deputies out of 36 ones will be elected through party lists (proportional system), the other 18 – through single-seat districts (majority system).

For voting at the elections for the regional parliament, each voter will receive two ballots – for regional and single-seat districts. In the first case, the voter will be able to vote for one of the parties registered by the regional election committee. In the second ballot, the voter will have to give preference to a particular candidate.
