The activists held posters with the slogans: "Authorities, do not turn elections into a farce!", "We say no to pressure on CPRF candidates!", "We say no to political repressions in the Penza region!" and others.

As it was noted by some protesters, dismissal, administrative and criminal prosecution, information war, withdrawal of candidates from the elections – are rather old methods of those who are not willing to conduct honest elections and to engage in a competitive struggle.

A special emphasis during the protest was made on the issue of Anton Stolyarov, the head of radioisotope diagnostics laboratory of the Penza oncology dispensary, who according to communists "suffered from his activity during the election campaign".

In addition, the CPRF representatives expressed dissatisfaction with recent events in the Serdobsky area, where the election committee refused to register a list of candidates, and in the Lopatinsky area, where the police arrested agitators.

During the protests, it was suggested to turn to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and to ask him to deal with the current situation in the Penza region.
