New power balance in Penza Legislative Assembly: United Russia has 32 mandates, opposition - 4 mandates

On the basis of the elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the sixth convocation conducted on September 10, the United Russia party will receive 32 mandates, the Communist Party – 2 mandates, the LDPR and A Just Russia parties – one mandate each. This was reported by the chairman of the election committee of the region Alexander Sinyukov at a briefing held on Monday, September 11.

"In the single constituency: United Russia – 68.99% of votes, Communist Party – 13.14%, LDPR – 7.01%, A Just Russia – 5.46%. Thus, on party lists four parties will enter the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the sixth convocation," Alexander Sinyukov said.
He reminded that previously only two parties had been represented in the regional parliament – United Russia and Communist Party.
"Since representatives of United Russia became winners in the single-seat electoral districts, they will receive all 18 mandates. [...] According to the party lists United Russia will get 14 mandates, Communist Party – 2 mandates, LDPR and A Just Russia – one mandate each," Alexander Sinyukov explained.
He added that none of the six non-parliamentary parties that also had participated in the elections managed to surmount the 5% barrier required to enter the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region.
Thus, according to Alexander Sinyukov, Party of Pensioners of Russia received 1.34% of votes, Green Party – 0.69%, the party For Justice – 0.6%, Rodina – 0.43%, Political Party of Social Protection – 0.4%, and Patriots of Russia – 0.36%.
"The attendance in the region equalled to 50.98% at large, which is 2.26% more than five years ago. In Penza it equalled to 33.07%, which is also more than during previous elections. The attendance in areas of the city was as follows: the Zheleznodorozhny area – 35.01%, the Leninsky area – 35.63%, the Oktyabrsky area – 28.75%, the Pervomaysky area – 35.71%," the chairman of the regional election committee said.
According to him, the attendance in areas of the Penza region ranged from 27% to 89%.
Alexander Sinyukov noted that no law violations that could lead to criminal proceedings or annulment of the results of the vote had been registered.
"It can now be said with certainty that the elections of deputies of the Penza region Legislative Assembly, as well as of the representative bodies of the municipalities were successful. They are lawful and legitimate," the chairman of the regional election committee stressed.
He also added that the final results of the elections would become known within two or three days.
The voting results in 18 single-seat electoral districts in the elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the sixth convocation with an indication of percentage of votes the winner received:

As it was reported before, 71 deputies for single-seat districts including two self-nominated candidates laid claim for 18 out of 36 seats in the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the 6th convocation.
According to regional lists of 10 political parties, 339 candidates were registered.
