"I would like to draw everyone's attention to the fact that it is high time we stopped to enjoy the glory. [...] I would like to ask you not to make a pause, not to go on a holiday but to start planning the work in electoral constituencies, to hold reception of citizens [...]. Do everything possible so that they do not get disappointed in you," the head of the region said during the second stage of the 23rd conference of the regional United Russia department, which was held in Lermontov library on Wednesday, September 20.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, such issues as job creation, attraction of investors, road repairs, improvement of settlements, lighting and health promotion deserve deputies' special attention.

He reminded that on March 18, 2018, presidential elections would be conducted in Russia.

"Our task is to prepare for the elections. We should do this carefully – not by appeals but by work. [...] When the citizens understand that the power is with them, that it does not keep away from problems but tries to find a way of solving the issues, when the power turns to the residents for support, people will support us, believe me," the region head explained.

Ivan Belozertsev expressed hope that deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the sixth convocation would preserve previously gained experience.

"I have no doubt that we will be enacting laws aimed at development of the region and social support for citizens," the governor emphasized.
