Penza, 31 October 2017. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev reported about dismissal of two officials for manipulation involving reagents after he had talked with a business representative who disclosed fraudulent schemes in this field.

"I recently found out, about 4 months ago, [...] that a person worked in the business, bought the reagent and shared it with people who worked in the same system," the head of the region noted at the meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee that was held in the regional government on Tuesday, October 31.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, it was possible that instead of the German reagent that had to be purchased the warehouses received the Chinese one, which was 1.5 times cheaper. The saved money was divided between participants of the scheme.

He added that he had also learned about cases when delivery of a required good was carried out but in much smaller quantities and the persons concerned shared the amount of money that remained.

"He was talking about it as about something natural. I told him: give me the names. It turned out they worked for us. I fired them immediately", Ivan Belozertsev said.

The head of the region did not specify who the people were and in what bodies of government they worked.
